Y si quisiera ser bombero?????
El jose se ve hermoso con el casco de bombero de su abuelo... primero reí con la gracia del niño... al cabo de cinco segundos me bajaron las aprehensiones. ¿ y si quisiera ser bombero?
Todavía recuerdo la angustia, el dolor en la guata y la larga espera que vivíamos con mi hermana y mi vieja cada vez que los hombres de la casa se iban a aun llamado... peor aún, si por su radiocomunicador nos enterábamos que se trataba de un incendio de esos apoteósicos que se dan de cuando en cuando en Valpo.
Nos quedábamos tranquilas sólo cuando llamaban tras llegar al cuartel, o cuando oíamos por la radio que el incendio estaba controlado.
Es que sabíamos de la pasión que desataban en mi papi y mi hermano esto de ser bombero. Conocíamos de la adicción a la adrenalina que les provoca llegar al siniestro y estabamos ciertas que se entregarían por compelto ante un drama mayor.
Con orgullo mirábamos al día siguiente las fotos de ellos en los diarios o sus imágenes en la tele, pero durante la emergencia la angustia era terrible...
Ahora mi Jose se pone el casco de bombero y mi viejo babeaba.. tal vez con la secreta esperanza que este nieto suyo siga sus pasos en las filas de los caballeros del fuego... y si fuera así? quien sería yo para negarle al Jose la posibilidad de seguir los ideales de su abuelo.

sonará cursi, pero los bomberos son héroes. en realidad no suena cursi.
pero creo que lo más heroico, en definitiva, es ser madre de un heroe.
Admiro a los bomberos, por su vocación de servicio público, de lo que queda tan poco en estos días... Sin duda que si el jose decide seguir los pasos de su abuelo, el susto será el triple de lo que viviste con tu padre y hermano, pero al fin y al cabo, uno de los pasos de ser madre es dejarlos llevar su propio camino...

...realmente, creo q es demasiado pronto para colocarle vocación de servicio al jose. Cada cual tendrá su idea respecto a lo que significa ser bombero, o lo que significa ser heroe...a mi me basta que este peuqeñín logre ser solo un poco lo buena personas que son sus cuatro abuelos, con eso basta para que se convierta en heroe...ya sea disfrazado de bombero o manejando el Batimovil.
...en todo caso, yo creo que el camino va por transmitirle valores, muy por sobre tratar de inyectarle ideas que influyan sus prioridades
Cuando niño viví con mis padres en un departamento que estaba justo encima de un cuartel de bomberos... ¡¡Rayaba con los carros bomba, las sirenas, y toda esa adrenalina!! Después me gustaron los camiones, y luego los buques, las grúas, los carros de supermercado... Finalmente no fui ni bombero, ni camionero, ni marino, ni operador de grúa (menos aún ingeniero civil). Quizá sea un poco temprano para precuparte... Tranquila, todavía queda bastante.
Yo siempre tuve ganas de ser bombera.
Y no me dejaron, alegaron que era mucho el riesgo, pero vamos, no es el mismo riesgo que caminar, tropezar y que se yo?
Es valiente de tu parte, y si quisiera ser bombero, tendrías que estar orgullosa de ese hombresito que conoce sus ideales.. y tener fuerza para superar los momentos de angustia.
